The Moroccan Coast - Oualidia hotels
This morning we are heading out of town through the hills and arid landscape to the beautiful bay of Oualidia, where the flamingos stop on passing at Christmas and the wonderful oyster beds are found.
We have had a week of rain and Marrakech and its surrounds are starting to look like Hampstead Heath rather than Morocco. Some say cold winter, scorching summer so we may well be in our bikinis before long. Today is brilliant sun, blue skies and the snowy Atlas Mountains are in their full glory. The JB's are off to the beach with dog and child to search the pretty rock pools for sea slugs and eat plates of oysters.
We have had a busy 4 months with Zamzam opening and full of guests at Christmas, Marcus father has been very ill too so the last 4 months have been full on. We are all off for one night to catch our breath and remind ourselves of why we work so hard.
See you when I'm back!
