Zamzam update - bathrooms/hammams

We are just starting the tadelakt in the bathrooms, and some of the bedrooms. It's quite scary, when the tadelakt goes onto the walls wet it is so dark and much much lighter when dry, so the whole process of choosing the tadelakt is quite difficult. However i'm really pleased so far and to be quite honest all the tadelakt colours are so beautiful it doesn't really matter. We think that there is a thin line with Moroccan interiors between, totally over the top and clashing to exciting but with contrast, again quite difficult. Here you can see the floor of the master suite bathroom. These gorgeous tiles are glazed bejmat. Each one is hand done so you get a nice mix of tones within a colour.
This is the marble in room 2 downstairs, it looks a bit grey in this photo but it does actually have a mauve vein in it. I Love this marble, it's crazy.
Tadelakt swatches on the walls, this helps as you can see them dry. I adore the deep chocalate tones.

Well my saturday was spent choosing matress, something of a constant mission in my life. This process was quite HARD (literally in Morocco). I spent the day hoping from one bed to another, rolling over, then again onto the other side etc, useful but not there yet. I think a good nights sleep could really make a holiday.
